‘The kit adds 8x 2.5” SAS/SATA hot-swap drive bays to the base unit, providing expansion is possible for 2.5” models of the ThinkSystem SR550 or ThinkSystem SR650.
The backplane upgrade kit includes drive backplane and required SAS cables, power cables, and drive bay fillers; storage controllers are not included.
